Character Tier List

Characters with a Red Border have NE's or abilities that will add SP to a party member or members.

Physical Damage Tier List

S Tier

S tier characters are the crème of the crop, those that bang knuckles as they excel with their kits with the current meta in regards with most postgame content. While near to perfection, they do have at least one drawback to not break the game in two. These units have 15 million base ATK and 40% NEs by default.

YAY'S:
  • 18% ATK and RES for party
  • Low cost AoE, S+ skill
  • 20% ATK and DEF every turn for herself totaling up to a permanent 60% after three turns.
  • 60% damage dealt when equipped with gun
  • 12 SP battery for herself when another bow or gun forte is with her (AA flonne) makes her more self sufficient
  • S+ skill has 10% skill power when it crits. Also has the fire attribute, making her a strong fire weak boss killer.
  • Very strong +1000AG which buffs her party's ATK and DEF, halves the enemies buffs, and makes her next attack guarantee a critical hit

NAY'S:

  • Since her main gimmick is using her +1000AG skill to guarantee crits on every S rank she uses, she consumes two turns every time she acts. This makes her largely unfriendly with units who's buffs only last 1-2 turns, and also dissuades her from units who buff CRT instead of CRD since her crits are guaranteed

YAY'S:
  • 16% basic stats for the party
  • 12 SP Party wide battery for the party if she is at full health.
  • 60% damage dealt when equipped with bow.
  • Low cost AoE, S+ skill.
  • 15% skill damage augmentation on her S+ skill if at full health.
  • 50% ATK and RES for herself if 3+ bow/gun/sword allies.
  • Non elemental AoE can be nice for PvP.

NAY'S:

  • Being locked into a bow makes her attack ceiling lower.
  • Not having an element on her S+ skill makes her damage potential fall off hard against raid and trial bosses.

YAY'S:
  • 18% basic stats for Knights / herself, alongside 50% ATK and DEF for herself if 3 knights in her party, not bad for PvP!
  • Low cost AoE, S+ skill.
  • 65% single target damage dealt when equipping an axe.
  • Damage up evility is tied to axe, giving her a higher attack ceiling over other humanoid carries.
  • Gives herself 80% attack for one turn when attacked.
  • Can activate a counter stance which buffs her ATK by 45%, then automatically attacks the enemy with a normal attack every time she is attacked. This counter attack activates even when under the ailments of forget/sleep/paralysis, very strong for PvP!
  • S+ skill has 10% extra damage if the enemy's ATK is actively debuffed. It also has the water attribute, making her a strong water-based boss killer.
  • Only 10% weak to fire and resistant to other elements, decent for PvP.

NAY'S:

  • S+ skill needing an active ATK debuff can be awkward to proc.
  • Lacks a +1000 AG skill.
  • Her damage up evility only applies to single target damage, and is also a different element than her S+ skill, so her damage drops off considerably if you are trying to use her for AoE, especially if your axe is alchemized for all water damage.

YAY'S:
  • Flat 16% basic stats for the entire party.
  • Standard DPS necessities in low cost AoE and S+ skill.
  • 60% damage dealt evility.
  • Passively shreds enemy ATK and DEF by 15%.
  • Gives himself a nonconditional 80% ATK boost just for existing with NE10.
  • Cheap AoE actively shreds DEF by 8%.
  • Cheap single target skill gives himself 100% ATK for the next turn
  • S+ skill damage is further augmented by proportionally remaining HP.
  • Star attribute skills make him a strong star-weak boss killer.

NAY'S:

  • Lacks a +1000AG skill to take two turns in a row.
  • S+ skill damage augmentation isn't as strong as other units'.

YAY'S:
  • Standard DPS necessities in a low cost AoE and S+ skill.
  • 60% damage dealt evility.
  • NE1 provides her 25% ATK each turn to a total, permanent 100% ATK buff after 4 turns.
  • F+ skill is still a cheap AoE (19SP skill after Killia training) which stacks a 5 turn ATK buff.
  • Covers water, wind and star elements in her skills for raids.
  • S+ skill turns into an SS skill after 2 uses, then gets an additional power buff after the third usage. It is permanently SS and empowered after the three usages, giving her the current strongest single target skill in the game.
  • SS skill has the water attribute, making her a water-weak boss annihilator.
  • Bonus 30% HP, ATK and DEF if she's with 2 other pawns.

NAY'S:

  • Lacks a +1000AG skill to take two turns in a row.
  • Her NE7 is quite negligible, which is both a pro and and a con. On one hand it's nice to have the bonus HP and DEF if you include two other pawns, on the other hand they are buffs against the buff cap that you can just ignore and not sacrifice team composition for.

YAY'S:
  • Standard DPS necessities in a low cost AoE and single target S+ skill.
  • 60% damage dealt evility.
  • Her NE1 ensures that she cannot her attack cannot be debuffed three times in total and instead converts the debuff into a buff, which is a useful niche for bosses that inflict ATK downs as well as PvP.
  • Can grant herself a single turn 70% ATK buff just for having 2 additional king-type allies on her team.
  • Her S+ skill receives 10% more damage if the enemy has a DEF debuff, which should always be the case in raids and trials. It also has the wind attribute, making her a strong wind-weak boss killer.
  • Has a simultaneous party wide ATK buff and enemy wide ATK debuff.

NAY'S:

  • Lacks a +1000AG skill to take two turns in a row.
  • Her party/enemy wide buff and debuff is quite low numbers wise and it is difficult to see where you might want to cast this over doing DPS.
  • Her NE7 is not too restrictive since she only needs 2 other kings on her team, but this still might disrupt team-building for some people. Still, if you can reach the buff cap quite easily, this evility can be ignored so you don't have to sacrifice better supports just to use kings.
  • Supremely flat.

YAY'S:
  • Standard DPS necessities in a low cost AoE and single target S+ skill.
  • His damage increase NE only requires an active ATK buff to activate. This allows him to use an axe, granting him a higher ATK stat ceiling over other humanoid carries.
  • At NE7, he will receive a total of 25SP per turn as long as he is full health, making him more self sufficient.
  • His +1000 AG skill has no repeat prohibition, allowing him to effectively "eat" enemies over and over with only an effective cost of 1 SP at skill level 50, whilst sustaining his HP and ATK buffs from the skill itself and his NE5.
  • He has a unique AoE which debuffs all enemy's basic stats and SPD for 5 turns. This is a very strong, stacking debuff that ensures he stays relevant as a potent debuffer even when he may get powercrept in the future.
  • His S+ rank skill's damage increases by 10% when it crits. It also has the fire attribute, making him a strong fire-weak boss killer.

NAY'S:

  • Because his +1000 AG skill is single target and requires a kill to activate, he cannot use this for additional damage against a raid boss whilst not losing any speed time.

YAY'S:
  • DPS necessities in low cost AoE and S+ skill.
  • S+ Skill further augmented by proportional remaining HP. (Although this is currently glitched and she is not receiving this damage boost at the moment.)
  • 60% damage dealt evility.
  • +1000 AG AoE which let's her take two turns in a row and also boosts her CRT by 20%, making her farm crits rather healthily against raid bosses.
  • Self buffs all basic stats by 50% when faced against 3 or less enemies
  • Gives all queen allies +75 AG at the start of the wave, especially potentially useful for PvP.
  • Non elemental AoEs have PvP strengths.
NAY'S:
  • Her NE1 self buff is a little lower than the average, but still comes out to 75% ATK when considering her +1000 AG skill.
  • Her damage dealt evility requires an active defense debuff on the enemy, which can be inconvenient in certain instances or for using her to solo content.
  • Since she gives herself AG at start of wave, she might initially go before her non-queen supports and mess up turn order.
  • Lacks an element on her S-Rank skill, making her eventually fall off for targeting boss weaknesses once more elemental DPS become available. The damage augment also isn't as strong as other S+ skills.

YAY'S:
  • DPS necessities in low cost AoE and S+ skill.
  • 60% damage dealt evility
  • S+ skill has 10% extra skill power for attacking DEF debuffed enemies.
  • Access to Mega Braveheart to buff self or others.
  • All buffs, including CRT/CRD and active damage dealt buffs (like Calamity Adell's) are increased by 18%. This makes him a great sub DPS option as he helps the main carry reach buff caps quickly and then can deal great damage.
  • Provides an party wide ATK/INT and AG boost with his level 200 skill for attacking a DEF debuffed enemy.
  • +65% ATK for himself (buffed by his NE5) when he has 3 or more allies surviving, which should be all the time.
NAY'S:
  • Because of his NE 1, he's locked into sword weapons
  • Lacks an element on his S-Rank skill, making him eventually fall off for targeting boss weaknesses once more elemental DPS become available.

A Tier

Characters that perform well, but have some limitations that knock them down a tier, namely having 30% NEs or only 13.5m base stats. Characters like these can clear (and were used to clear) postgame content of the game like the Pringer X Character Gate.

YAY'S:
  • 15% ATK and DEF for all allies.
  • NE1 and 5 combine for 71% damage dealt for himself.
  • NE5 provides 16% damage dealt if there are 3 humanoids.
  • 75% ATK and DEF buff if there are two or less enemies.
  • Access to Mega Armor Break.
  • Self buff to increase the damage he will deal on the next turn.
  • S rank has 10% additional power for a DEF debuffed enemy.
  • Makes for a decent sub DPS unit if desired; buffs himself a decent amount while providing damage up and mega armor break for the main DPS.

NAY'S:

  • A 13.5m ATK unit that has 30% NEs instead of 40% and no element on his S+ skill makes him not a viable choice for a main DPS.
  • Doesn't contribute to any party wide buffs besides his NE5 to assist as sub DPS role more, or offer anything besides being a subpar DPS compared to better DPS.
  • Level 200 skill encourages using a turn of doing zero damage and providing zero utility just to make his S rank on the following turn stronger.

YAY's:
  • Standard DPS necessities in low cost AoE and S+ skill.
  • Respectably high damage dealt evility at 70% for a relatively not difficult condition to activate.
  • Starts the battle off with an immediate 80% ATK, and still has 20% ATK minimum passively, plus 15% from his NEO.
  • Has niche utility in reducing ally debuffs and moving him far up on the turn order.
  • S+ Skill has 10% additional power.
  • Has Badass stats even though he is a Platinum Banner unit.
  • Access to Mega Braveheart.
  • Exclusive weapon raises his AG by 100 at the end of his turn.

NAY'S:

  • He is a 13.5M attack unit, so despite his good DPS qualities, his overall ceiling is still lower than the meta DPS.
  • A non-elemental S+ skill means he'll never be the optimal choice for killing bosses.
  • Collaboration character, very rare to get.

YAY'S:
  • Low cost AoE which inflicts forget, which is useful for 3 starring main story missions as well as PvP.
  • High damage single target skill that has its damage boosted on a crit, and further augmented by total SP at time of usage.
  • Damage boosting NE
  • Passively boosts his own ATK by having his supports/himself hold guns.
  • Can wield an axe for the maximum amount of ATK. (And still gets more overall CRD from this than with holding a gun at the cost of CRT.)
  • Star attribute attacks give him a good niche vs raid/trial bosses with a star weakness.
NAY'S:
  • He is not a badass unit, so he is 20% behind in stats compared to other carries.
  • An all SP consuming S+ skill can make it difficult for him to S+ rank every turn without heavy battery support.

YAY'S:

  • High damage single target skill that doubles as a strong AoE
  • Higher than average 65% damage dealt evility.
  • Access to Mega Braveheart to self buff
  • Access to a single target and +30% ATK with +300 ag
  • Grants herself an additional 65% ATK just for being actively buffed with ATK.
  • Has +35 starting SP
  • Collab-exclusive weapon can boost Action Gauge by 100 when an enemy is defeated.

NAY'S:

  • Her 65% damage dealt evility requires there to be 2 or less enemies, making her more inconvenient to use in some content.
  • Her S+ single target skill is locked behind there being 1 enemy, which can cripple her as a DPS option in some situations like Pringer X.
  • Her +AG skill is +300AG and single target, not allowing her to clear enemies with it to access her damage evility and S+ NE3 skill.
  • Her NE3 skill has a higher cost to get the same S+ skill as other units.

B Tier

What makes a character "B tier"? B Tier characters have access to decent damage output but with noticeable flaws. Most of these characters really needed something more to their kits to shine bright. They'll still deal good damage but will require some support from the team.

YAY'S:
  • 60% damage up evility which isn't tied to a weapon.
  • Cheap AoE which also inflicts paralysis, useful for 3 starring main story missions.
  • AoE ATK/DEF debuff which inflicts sleep, useful for 3 starring main story missions and can be useful for PvP.
  • S+ skill has +10% damage if the enemy is afflicted with a status.
  • 14% ATK/HP for the entire party.
  • Extra 37% ATK at the start of battle for 3 turns.
  • Water attribute skills give her a good niche for raids/trials with water weak bosses.

NAY'S:

  • Her S+ skill's 10% extra damage cannot be attained versus raid and trial bosses as they are immune to statuses, making it an extremely niche benefit.
  • NE5 only lasts for 3 turns instead of being permanent.
  • 20% behind in stats as a non-badass.

YAY's:
  • His NE0 and NE1 combine to make a very high 75% damage dealt for himself when equipped with a gun.
  • Cheap AoE and S+ skill.
  • Covers three elements, making him a decent barrier breaker in raids,

NAY's:

  • 20% behind in stats as a non badass unit.
  • His NE5 is counterintuitive to him being the main DPS as he can wind up going before his supports.
  • A lower than average base ATK stat makes his ceiling quite low.

  • Passively shreds enemy base stats.
  • 50% damage up evility.
  • +15 SP at start of battle.
  • Self buff which increases her stats by 100% and moves her up the turn order.

NAY'S:

  • Lower than average attack stat.
  • No S+ skill nor cheap AoE makes her very inconvenient and not as strong as other DPS, needing to rely upon Shotgun Craft to clear waves.

YAY'S:
  • 60% single target damage evility
  • Self buff that increases her own AG.
  • NE7 makes her scale in power over 7 turns.
  • Can equip an Axe for a higher ATK ceiling.

NAY'S:

  • Her damage dealt evility only applies to single target damage, making her quite pathetic in any difficult content with waves of enemies.
  • Alongside lacking a +1000AG skill, she does nothing special as a fest unit.

YAY'S:
  • Respectably high 65% damage dealt evility
  • Low cost AoE that costs even lower than the usual AoE.
  • 10% bonus damage when her S+ skill crits.
  • Free 52% ATK and DEF for her, alongside an additional 27% for the first three turns of the battle.

NAY'S:

  • This unit needs to be not at full health in order to achieve her damage dealt evility. This is horrible since a lot of the most powerful support buffs in the game, current and future ones, come from unique skills that also heal and eventually overheal the party. This means Oni Rem will always be struggling for the best buffers in the game, and will always be one turn behind in content before she can do max DPS since she must use a skill to damage herself or get hit by an enemy , crippling her hard as far as being a usable unit goes.

  • High damage single target skill and a low cost AoE skill
  • Can boost her own ATK up to 60% over 2 turns (30% per turn)
  • Damage boosting NEs
NAY'S:
  • Lower than average attack stat alongside being forced to use a bow makes her ATK ceiling quite low.
  • Her ATK boost won't activate consistently in raids due to it requiring more than one enemy alive to proc.

  • Low cost AoE
  • High damage single target skill
  • Damage Boosting NE that isn't locked to a weapon type
  • Access to Mega Armor Break
  • Provides 10 SP to herself making her AoE always useable
NAY'S:
  • Her +50% damage boosting NE requires that she has an ATK buff currently on her at the beginning of the turn, which isn't too big of a deal but can be bothersome in some content where you'd like to clear the content as fast as possible, as you'll need to buff her to get her damage passive off

  • Boosts her own attack at the start of the wave by 12% for two turns stacking to a 24% ATK buff by turn 2
  • Increases her own basic stat parameters by 11%
NAY'S:
  • Damage dealt evility is a sad 40%.

  • A+ skill hills him to add even more healing.
  • Access to Mega Braveheart.

NAY'S:

  • Lacking a damage up evility as a badass unit puts him out of commission for usage very quickly.

NAY'S:
  • No low cost AoE built into his skills means his only access to one would require leveling bow mastery to unlock Doppelganger
  • No high damage single target skill makes his boss killing potential limited

  • High damage single target skill
  • High speed at the beginning of the battle makes it easy for her to out-speed problematic enemies
  • Her NE +5 provides Initial SP +25 when battle begins allowing her to spam her low cost AoE easily
NAY'S:
  • Her damage potential falls off after 3 waves as she loses the bonus stats from her NE 0 and her NE +7
  • Her NE +1 is rather situational as it only works on female enemies
  • Flat, even as a Majin!

  • All of her skills lower DEF increasing her damage output passively
NAY'S:
  • No low cost AoE built into her skills means her only access to one would require leveling bow mastery to unlock Doppelganger causing her to miss out on her 18% ATK bonus from NE +1
  • The bonus damage from her NE +5 is fantastic but only works on single target damage making her not very effective at clearing waves with Doppelganger

  • Passive ATK buff from her NE +7 and NE 0 totaling to 41%
  • Passively reduces enemies DEF by 15% from NE +1
  • Self damage dealt to humanoids by normal attacks +60% from her NE +5
NAY'S:
  • Her NE +5 only increases normal attack damage
  • Her NE +7 restricts team composition heavily as you need a full monster team to get its maximum potential
  • All of her skills have star element making fights where the enemy resists star cripple her damage output
  • No high damage single target skill means she's not going to be very effective against bosses
  • Low base stats.

YAY'S:
  • 25% extra CRD for herself, to a total 165% CRD and 10% CRT before alchemy
  • Low cost AoE, S+ skill
  • 70% damage up when equipped with staff, that's high!
  • 100% INT when facing just one enemy has her hitting the buff cap easily
  • Batteries for herself and the party for an easy condition, making her very sufficient for herself and her party
  • Party wide INT/RES buff that increases her AG.
  • Cheap AoE damage augmented with lower DEF/RES of enemy
  • Very strong S+ skill that augments itself with 10% skill power for having an INT buff (always), and then further augments damage with 8% of her DEF. (Be sure to also get your DEF cheat up to 20 in Mao's Lab)

NAY'S:

YAY'S:
  • All of his skills have a different elemental attribute, giving him coverage for various enemy weaknesses and raid barriers besides fire.
  • Amplifies all INT effects he receives by 35%, including his own NE7, making him reach the buff cap considerably sooner than other carries.
  • His NE7's condition is very easy to fulfill, and combined with his NE5's effect and NE0 both, gives himself 106% INT just for existing when his turn comes up, before counting any other buffs from supports.
  • His S+ skill receives 10% more damage if the enemy is inflicted with a RES debuff, which should always be the case in a raid or trial and most times. It also has the water attribute, making him a strong water-weak boss killer.
  • His cheap AoE skill slightly reduces enemy buff effects by 1/4th, a niche but useful trait to have. It also has a RES debuff to assist with his NE1, but the goal is to kill them with the AoE on the first usage, so having someone inflict it earlier is important.

NAY'S:

  • For content outside of raids and trials, having to have a RES debuffed opponent to access his damage up NE might be difficult or inconvenient, such as Pringer X or BTS, and thus he would lose a significant portion of his damage if you cannot ensure the debuff goes off. It also might make him have trouble soloing content.
  • Lacks a +1000 AG skill to take two turns in a row.

  • Gives herself AG at start of wave, which is useful for content like BTS and raids.
  • S+ skill damage augmented by SP consumption.
  • Party wide buff with INT and CRD if there is a DEF buffed ally.

NAY'S:

  • Her NE1 will basically never apply to herself without very specific tuning that isn't worth the trouble mostly.
  • Her NE7, while potent, means she is only a reliable boss killing option against females. She can still live without it if her stats are high enough, but you had might as well pick a unit who is more universal in their damage dealing.

NAY'S:

  • She lacks a low cost AoE which makes clearing content difficult without the help of the team
  • She lacks a high damage single target skill which means she won't be very effective against bosses as a primary damage dealer

Support Tier List

S Tier

S tier supports are universal or near-universal supports who can support almost any DPS. They bring damage increases, SP, debuffs, heals, massive stat buffs, CRD/CRT, or other desirable traits nearly in one package to support almost any DPS. They go beyond just having wand-based support spells and have powerful unique spells and evilities that other supports don't possess.

YAY'S:
  • Increases party ATK and HP by 15%
  • NE3 skill boosts attack by 60% (3 turns) and CRT by 10% (1 turn)
  • Her NE +5 increases the party's skill damage by 14%
  • She provides +12 SP to the party member who acts after her in the turn order
  • Access to Mega Armor Break, Mega Speed Boost and Mega Enfeeble.
  • Stacks a 2 turn 12% SPD debuff on the boss.
NAY'S:
  • Her battery evility requires the DPS to go right after her to receive SP. which can conflict with similar evilities that buff the next unit in the turn order or SPD manipulating evilities like Archangel Flonne

YAY'S:
  • Provides 20% damage dealt increase to the party if they're all humanoid
  • Increases party ATK and HP by 15%
  • Gains 22 SP a turn total making her self sufficient
  • Debuff halving skill that buffs the party's base stats by 10%
  • Single target skill which removes all foe's buffs while debuffing their DEF and SPD.
  • 25% base stats party wide buff which also gives a single ally 10% CRT stacking up to 20% after 2 turns
  • Can hold any weapon she wants
NAY'S:
  • Doesn't play nice with monster units
  • Her NE5 exists to remove restrictions on her kit, (which is the only reason her skills have restrictions at all...) making it a non existent evility

YAY'S:
  • 16% basic stats for the party
  • 12 SP Party wide battery for the party if she is at full health.
  • Low cost party wide heal and ATK/INT buff of 40% which provides overheal, a shield upwards to 50% of the respective unit's maximum HP. (For example, a 100M HP unit will gain 50M extra HP as a shield on top of their current health pool.)
  • This same skill also buffs a single ally's CRT by 10% totaling up to 20% after two turns.

NAY'S:

  • Selfish NE1 and NE7 means you sacrifice a damage up evility for your carry.
  • Not an ideal sub DPS since she would rather keep 20% CRT going on her carry and providing overheal, plus being locked into bow is pretty far from good.

YAY'S:
  • 15% INT and HP for the party.
  • Unique accessory which increases the potency of her debuffs by 30%.
  • NE1 passively shreds the enemy's ATK/INT with active debuffs by 20% each turn, 26% with accessory, totaling 60%/78% after 3 turns, severely lessening the damage you take from Raid and Trial bosses. Combined with her A+ skill she is an extremely potent debuffer.
  • Increases the party's elemental damage by 15%.
  • Provides 15 SP for highest INT unit at end of turn.
  • Party wide INT buff which has a random additional effect between 10% more INT, 30% RES or partywide 100 AG.
  • Single target skill debuffs the target's DEF and RES by 20%, 26% with her accessory, and pushes her up the turn order.
  • All of her skills have the ice attribute for coverage in raids.

NAY'S:

  • Her party wide buff's additional effects are completely RNG. This inconsistency can be problematic for trying to optimize content in as few turns as possible. 30% RES is far from bad but not as ideal as extra INT or AG, and INT when you're already at the INT cap would give you a 1/3 chance to get the ideal effect.
  • Since her only RES debuff is tied to her A+ rank skill it would take 2 turns to get -50% RES while holding her accessory or 3 turns for -78% RES in trials. It takes her multiple turns in order to reach the RES debuff cap for your carry.

YAY'S:
  • Very high 15 SP party-wide battery that she can proc herself with Love Knuckle or Great Flonzor X.
  • Provides a high 20% damage dealt for a fully alive team, which should always be the case.
  • NE1 passively boosts the carry with main stats and SPD.
  • Her cheap AoE doubles up as a heal which provides complete ailment immunity.
  • In the event you still do get inflicted with ailments, she also has Mega Espoir.
  • Her NE3 skill provides 30% base stats for the party and 25% CRD for the targeted carry. Combined with her NE1 the carry gets 60% base stats, 30% SPD and 25% CRD a turn, which is incredibly high value in a single turn coming from one single unit.
  • NE3 skill has the water attribute to contribute to barrier breaking.

NAY'S:

  • Her NE1 targets the ally with the highest ATK, while she also has a 13.5M base atk. This may result in INT carries who have 9M base ATK, like Lamington, to miss out on her NE1. This should not deter you from using her to support an INT carry by any means, but it's still worth noting.
  • Great Flonzor X is a decently high costing move by current standards. It requires skill level 50, +5SP from Killia's training, and either additional SP from alchemy or another support to be able to use it turn 1 outside of raids. Even with max alchemy effects, outside of raids, she would still need the support of another battery to cast this skill in subsequent turns in a row.

YAY'S:
  • A useful flat 12% base stats.
  • Respectable 18% damage dealt increase for a fully alive team, which should always be the case.
  • +100 AG for a fully alive team, enabling faster kill times frame zero kill times for raids in the future, and in general, pushing your team along the turn order.
  • Decently long start of battle buff which can stack with other buffs.
  • Party wide ATK and DEF buff and heal which can cleanse evility seals.
  • Access to Mega Braveheart if desired.
  • NE3 is a barrier breaking skill with the water attribute, which also automatically reduces the bosses DEF by -50% when breaking the barrier, acting as both a barrier breaking move and Mega Armor Break in a single turn, which saves time in a raid and can open up other support options.

NAY'S:

  • Her NE3's built in Mega Armor Break only applies to raids, making you still need a debuffing unit for other content.
  • She doesn't offer nearly as much to INT teams.

YAY'S:
  • Access to Mega Armor Break
  • High damage single target skill that buffs party's ATK and DEF by 30%
  • Provides the party with a party wide +7 sp per turn
  • Has an all stat buff skill that also gives him +500 Action Gauge
  • Increases critical hit damage by 30% for the entire party
  • Provides spear wielding characters with a 20% ATK and DEF boost
  • The +500 AG from supreme style effectively makes him provide +14 SP and 55% basic (with Killia Training) to the entire party before his DPS acts.
NAY'S:
  • Because of his NE 7, he's locked into spear weapons to boost the teams CRD
  • Since it takes two turns to effectively provide his "full" buff with Supreme Style thanks to the +500AG, he consumes more turns overall than other supports to provide buffs, which lowers your time score in Raids and Trials.

A Tier

A tier characters are generally solid supports and/or sub DPS that provide damage dealt increases and other benefits. However, they may be too specific to supporting a certain archetype, such as a weapon or chess piece symbol, which makes them not as much of a core/universal support as S-tier supports. They also may not necessarily bring as much as S tier supports do, whether in terms of raw numbers or benefits for the party.

NOTE: Welfare units will be placed based on their worth / viability in relation to the fact they're completely free and guaranteed to be at least NE7 if you grind the event enough. Exercise intuition / critical thinking when comparing welfare units to units you have to spend quartz for in the tiers below.

YAY'S:
  • 15% ATK and DEF for party
  • Shred single enemy's basic stats by 25% at end of each turn
  • Party wide heal with a 20% DEF buff and RNG for additional 40% ATK or +75 Action Gauge for the party.
  • 16% damage up for the party for having 2 sword/spear forte units.
  • Cheap AoE actively shreds DEF, and access to mega armor break.
  • 86% total damage up for herself combining her NE5 and NE7. This alongside her S+ skill which has a 40% natural CRT and 5% skill power buff makes her a potent sub DPS against fire weak bosses if you want.

NAY'S:

  • Party wide heal's RNG makes for inconsistency in content where you are trying to optimize total time / turns.

YAY'S:

  • 18% ATK and DEF for the party, and 18% damage up if 3 bow/gun/sword fortes.
  • Party's healing potency increased by 25%.
  • Cheap AoE actively shreds enemy DEF.
  • Single target skill debuffs enemy ATK/INT and halves their buffs.
  • Skills have the water element for contributing to raid coverage.
  • Party wide heal with a DEF and RES buff which has RNG additional DEF or RES.
  • Mega Braveheart access.

YAY'S:
  • 16% base stats and damage up for monsters
  • 35% ATK and INT buff for unit after her
  • Increases her DEF and RES by up to 40% (50% with companion) for every monster.
  • Party wide base stats buff up to 50% for monsters, 25% for herself.
  • Single target Mega Braveheart/Magic Boost (if they're monster) with 10% CRT.
  • Party wide debuff halving.

NAY'S:

  • Single target buff lasts one turn, requiring her to use it every turn to keep it applied. This skill alongside her NE5 do not work well with units with +1000AG skills.
  • Misses out on her own NE0 and party wide buffs making her innately inefficient
  • For a unit that is encouraged to be alongside monsters, monster units usually only buff other monsters, making her lose out on their basic stat buffs and SP / SP reduction, hurting her survivability despite her NE7

YAY'S:
  • Passive DEF and RES shred by 12%
  • Partywide INT and RES buff if an enemy has an active RES debuff which she can proc herself
  • 16% damage up for the party for an easy 3 humanoids condition
  • Debuffs all enemies by 50% basic stats for 3 turns if she's killed, strong for PvP
  • AoE DEF and RES debuff which inflicts a random element, a strong PvP tool.
  • Single target Mega Enfeeble + Magic Down in one skill.
  • Single target attack with basic stats reduction and halves enemy buffs.
  • Decently usable outside of PvP.

NAY'S:

  • NE7 relies upon herself dying. Although this will realistically happen in PvP, it's a somewhat risky evility and also a completely unideal evility outside of PvP.
  • Has no resistance to wind or star.
  • Only 25% resistance to forget makes her more prone to it in PvP.

YAY'S:
  • A respectably high 22% skill damage dealt increase for fulfilling a rainbow composition.
  • Effectively a fire barrier breaker for raids by doing a passive fire-attribute attack at the end of her turn.
  • Provides +100 Action Gauge for 2 or remaining enemies, which is not difficult to achieve in a raid or trial, enabling faster kill times, frame zero kill times for raids in the future, and in general pushing your team along the turn order.
  • Cheap aoe actively shreds enemy DEF.
  • Higher cost aoe provides both respectable ATK/INT and CRD if there's a DEF debuffed enemy.
  • With a 60% skill damage dealt evility and her passive attribute attack NE5, she is a great sub-DPS that also buffs your carry with ATK/INT and CRD, and also isn't restricted to a weapon choice.

NAY'S:

  • A rainbow composition gets increasingly more difficult and less desirable to commit to as we progress in the game. However she still provides a respectable amount of support for the team even without her NE0.
  • Her ATK/INT + CRD buffing move requiring a def debuffed enemy can be tricky to activate consistently.

YAY'S:
  • Flat 15% HP and ATK to the party.
  • Access to Mega Heal, Speed Boost and Armor Break, with a base 13.5m RES to make her heal serviceable.
  • 18% damage up for the party if there are two other pawns with her.
  • 12 SP and 25% ATK at start of battle for the party
  • Party wide ATK and DEF buff which also extends the duration of buffs by one turn.
  • Single target CRT and CRD buff in a single turn, which can have it's duration extended to give a decently high CRT and CRD buff at once especially when combined with other CRT/CRD buffs

NAY'S:

  • Her NE1 and 7 are start of battle evilities which make them nonexistent after 2 turns, hurting her viability as a unit for long lasting content. Her NE7 in particular is extremely forgettable and might as well not exist.
  • Petta Beam has a restriction of 10 turns, which again makes her a not desirable unit in long term content. A very heavy restriction for a move which is far from weak but also not strong enough to warrant this restriction.
  • NE3 is a costly skill that makes her need party wide SP batteries to be able to use it every turn.
  • The buffs of her NE3 only last one turn, so she needs to be able to loop her carry to apply Petta Beam's effect to it, and otherwise is forced to spam this move every single turn to keep the CRT and CRD buff on the carry.
  • She forces the rest of the supports to have quite strong ATK buffs and batteries to compensate for her only buffing CRT and CRD most of the time.
  • The carry she supports needs to be a Pawn type, or have two other Pawn supports or she interferes with team composition too much with her NE5. (Although she can pair well with Swimsuit Lucy, Madoka and/or Des X!)
